The Society has always planned to build a 3500 gallon Collett tender for 6880. Only 27 of this type were built and none survived into preservation. We consider that this style of tender is right for a Grange the Fender forming a pleasing line with the cab side.
the following pictures and drawing show the style we are building and with the chassis now being refurbished and the steel for the tank delivered we can look forward to the building of replica tender No. 2268
our summer season is at the North Norfolk Railway this year until mid September.
