The Great Western Railway built a total of 80 Granges between 1936 and 1939. Each locomotive was named after a country house,  or Grange, broadly within Great Western territory.

Here is your chance to ‘Adopt a Grange’ giving you the recognition of supporting the Grange of your choice and raising funds for the boiler appeal for Betton Grange. Choose perhaps a country house near you or a favourite locomotive from the past.

The benefits include

a special Certificate of Appreciation,

inclusion on the 6880 ‘Roll of Honour’,

A mounted Jonathan Clay print of 6880 Betton Grange

a mounted framed photograph of the locomotive of your choice

regular updates (by email).

your name on a plaque that will be placed on the locomotive

and a ‘Special Day with 6880 in Steam’.

Additionally, you will be given priority booking opportunity for travel on the first mainline train

The scheme requires a donation totalling £1000 per locomotive which can be paid by standing order of £50 per month for 20 months, or as a single sum.
