Model Railway Exhibition

The model railway exhibition is in the Event Field at Glyndyfrdwy and features up to 12 model railway layouts in various gauges from ‘N’ gauge through to Garden Railway ‘G’? Scale. The exhibition is sponsored by Hornby Magazine and is supported by a wide range of specialist model traders, including Hornby Hobbies and Dapol Model Railways.

Amongst the layouts on display are St Stephen’s Road, a ‘OO’ Cornish-themed layout where the Western Region meets BR’s Southern Region and China Clay trains are the order of the day. St Stephen’s Road was built as a project layout by Hornby Magazine editor, Mike Wild and features in the 2012 Hornby Magazine Yearbook. Also, with a very appropriate Cambrian feel is the ‘OO’ BR(WR) Rhyd-y-Clafdy which has featured in British Railway Modelling magazine and will be making its last ever public appearance at the show.

All the layouts will be running at weekends, some of them midweek.
