This week saw the collection of the finished chimney from Swindon Copper Boilers.

The new copper cap was sponsored by member Richard Cadge and made by company owner Trevor Tremblin. So far it is the only new part for 6880 to be made in Swindon, but we are pleased that such an important symbol of the Great Western Railway can still be produced in its spiritual home.
